Maarten Schellekens - Associate Partner

Maarten has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and branding, both as strategy consultant and as corporate senior executive (CMO). He started his career in the areas of marketing science and customer insight and broadened his scope during his career.

Previously, Maarten worked as a consultant in the Marketing & Sales Practice at McKinsey & Co., focusing primarily on building new value propositions and branding. As senior executive at Philips, Acer and RELX (Elsevier) he has had diverse responsibilities ranging from the development and implementation of a new global brand strategy, strategic marketing, value proposition and business model development, digital marketing to leading the full marketing function as the Global CMO at Acer. He brings strong experience from the technology industry and understands how to make engineering-driven companies more market-driven.

Maarten holds a master’s degree from Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and joined the University of California and the University of Brabant. He has worked all over Europe and has extensive work-experience in Asia (Taiwan). He recently authored a book on connecting brands to the financial results of its parent companies.

He speaks English, Dutch, German, and some French. He lives in Switzerland with his wife and is an amateur composer and music-producer in his spare time.
